Directions
by road:
Our shop is just to the north of the main A27, the main
inland road between Brighton & Worthing. At the nearest junction on the A27, right turns are
prohibited, so please follow the following:
From the west (Worthing) direction : after leaving Worthing
on the A27 past the Downlands Corner Retail Park, (Sainsburys etc),
continue on the dual carriageway eastwards, straight on at the next traffic
lights. After rising up a
slight incline, a large footbridge crosses the road by Boundstone Community
College. Turn left immediately
under the footbridge and we can be found in the parade of shops which
appears ahead of you just beyond the petrol station on the left.
From the east (Brighton) direction: Take the main A27
westbound, continue westwards at the Shoreham Flyover (A283 junction),
straight on at the “Sussex Pad” Traffic Lights (for Shoreham Airport). At the next roundabout (by the
Lancing Manor Leisure Centre), take the third exit (right, to the
north). This is Manor Road,
continue up the hill, keep left past the Sussex Potter Miller & Carter
public house, pass the church on the left. About half a mile from the roundabout, just before Manor
Road rejoins the A27, we can be found in the parade of shops on the right.
From the north: Use either the A24 (from
London and the M25 to Worthing), the A23 (from London and the M25/M23 to
Brighton), or the A283 (from Henfield, Steyning etc); then follow
directions above from the east or west.

Bus:
Stagecoach Bus Service 7 stops outside the shop and connects to
both Worthing and Lancing Railway Stations and town centres. During Shop opening hours, this
service operates every 30 minutes.

from 31/05/09) The nearest timetable point for the shop is
“Hillbarn, Howard Road” – the stop for the shop is approximately 5 mins to
the Lancing side of this point.
Hourly Stagecoach Service 9 also serves Lancing Manor roundabout –
about 10 minutes walk from the shop. Alight at the Leisure Centre stop and walk
westwards from the roundabout along the north side of the A27 as far as the
large footbridge. Just before
the bridge, turn sharp right and the parade of shops containing Morris
Models is ahead beyond the petrol station.
Long distance Stagecoach Coastliner Service 700 (times from 31/05/09) between Brighton,
Portsmouth / Arundel serves the coast road (A259) through Lancing. For those able to walk, alight at
South Street (Three Horseshoes pub – Beach Green) and walk northwards
towards Lancing Railway Station (approximately 0.5 mile). Then follow directions below from
the station. For those less
mobile – change buses at Worthing Pier to service 7.
Compass Bus Service 106 operates every two hours
between Henfield, Steyning and Worthing, and stops just round the corner
from the shop at the bottom of Lynchmere Avenue (nearest timetable point is
“Firle Road” – 1 minute away).

Rail:
The nearest Railway Station is Lancing.
Lancing is served by trains operated by Southern
Railway – times are given in timetable 3. During shop opening hours, 5
trains an hour call at Lancing operating between:

Additional journey
opportunities can be made by changing at Brighton, Worthing or Hove
Lancing Station is approximately 15-20 minutes walk to the
shop (see directions below).
Alternatively, bus service 7 runs from adjacent to the station to
the shop every 30 minutes (see above) – journey time approximately 5
minutes. The stop can be found
outside the Boots (chemist) shop in North Road approximately 100 metres
north of the level crossing
Alternatively, bus service 7 also stops outside Worthing
Station – journey time approx 35 minutes. In addition to the services stopping at Lancing, a
second train per hour between London Victoria and Littlehampton serves
Worthing.
Taxi ranks are located at both Lancing and Worthing stations.
Walking from Lancing Station: Proceed to the north
side of the railway to Sompting Road (parallel with the railway) and walk
westwards. Follow Sompting
Road round a sharp right and then left turn and continue a further 3/8
mile. Turn right into
Boundstone Lane and keep going north to the footbridge in approx 5/8
mile. On crossing the
footbridge over the A27, a petrol station and parade of shops which
includes Morris Models can be seen to your right.
By
Air:
Shoreham Airport is the closest airport
with scheduled
flights– it is recommended to use a taxi from the airport to the
shop.
Gatwick Airport: Many international and
domestic destinations are served from Gatwick Airport. Through trains run hourly direct
from the airport to Lancing (journey time approximately 45 minutes)
with additional journeys possible by changing at either Brighton or
Shoreham-by-Sea.
